August 8 2025 National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium in Taiwan Joins GGBN

We are pleased to announce the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium (NMMBA) has joined GGBN! Located in Taiwan, the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium has 2,000 DNA and tissue sample of marine invertebrates in their collections.

July 7 2025 Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales published data to GGBN

We are excited to announce that the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (MNCN-CSIC) is now publishing data from its tissue collection through GGBN. February 26 2025 Welcome FIOCRUZ/CLIOC to GGBN!

We are excited to welcome FIOCRUZ–Leishmania collection (FIOCRUZ/CLIOC) as a core member of GGBN! As a Biological Resource Centre, FIOCRUZ/CLIOC plays a crucial role in the preservation, storage, and taxonomic characterization of Leishmania specimens, supporting scientific and technological advancements in Brazil. With 1,200 Leishmania specimens now available online, this marks the addition of a new genus to GGBN’s global network.

December 2 2024 Kostrzyca Forest Gene Bank has New Collections Available through GGBN!

Kostrzyca Forest Gene Bank (KFGB) has made their collection available through GGBN! Their collections include 7,400 plant samples (50 families, 133 genera) collected in Poland, many rare and endangered species which was also funded by the GGI Awards Program. Check it out here!
